Swimsuit season is finally upon us! And who’s that arriving with it? Ah yes… the growing realization that finding the perfect bathing suit actually requires some work. Hard work too, if you consider that most of our bodies haven’t seen the light of day for a few months.

Swimsuit shopping can be overwhelming. If you’ve ever rage quit after seeing the wrong style on your body, then you’re not alone.

This year, we’re going to try making things a little easier for you with some tips and tricks. Time to channel your inner mermaid and dive in.Β

Figure Out Your Size

Lucky for you, we have a pretty comprehensive size guide for each and every piece in our new swim collection.

For those who can’t take the opportunity to try products in-store, you can check out ourΒ size charts (hip, bust, and cup) to choose what works best for you or book a virtual fitting session (and save yourself a potential return).Β

A general rule of thumb is that when you notice the material bunching, it probably means you need to go down a size due to too much fabric.

If the bathing suit is pulling your shoulders down or cutting into the bottoms, first try adjusting the straps to give yourself a little more breathing room. If that doesn’t help, try going up a size and seeing how that feels. Comfort is key!

Swim Tip: Swimwear typically expands slightly in water, so if something is feeling snug, that’s a great sign. You tread that water, goddess!Β

Smaller vs Larger Busts

Have you ever heard the phrase: Different breast strokes for different folks?Β

Maybe I’m getting it wrong, but keeping your bust size in mind when purchasing a bathing suit is important. Cup styles and adjustability of straps can make a huge difference in the look and feel of the suit.Β

The new Balcony Cup Bikini Top and Balcony One Piece give a fun and flirty shape to people with smaller busts. The structured cups and tie-back offer an uber comfortable fit too. If you’re looking for a sportier cut, check out the super sleek Scoop Bikini Top or High Energy One Piece with its subtle mesh detailing.Β Β

The former offers more adjustability and built-in support, while the latter boasts a smooth silhouette and sexy front zipper for an (optional) cleavage moment.Β

For those in need of more chest support, our new Deep V Bikini Top and Deep V One Piece are your friends; and so sexy! A wider band will allow for more comfort and lift while you’re soaking in the sun.Β

You could also opt for the classic, sweetheart cut with the Sculpt Bandeau Top. It gives full coverage and the option to wear it strapless while you’re working on your tan.

Lounging vs Swimming

Typically, there are two kinds of pool people: the ones lying on the floaty (only leaving their glorious spot for bathroom and food breaks) and those diving, belly-flopping, and doing laps around said floaty person. But hey, who ever said you couldn’t be both?

Our Beach Shirt is a fan favorite for its comfortable feel and oversized look. Like our new Sarong, it’s the perfect accessory. The Side-Tie One Piece is another cute suit that’s guaranteed to make you the belle of the beach.Β

If you’re playing pool volleyball and splish splashin’ the day away, the High Energy Bikini Top with its racerback is the perfect solution to staying supported. The Tankini Top paired with your favorite bottom will keep you cool, comfortable and ready to dominate a game of marco polo.Β

Let’s be real, there’s also no going wrong with a sleek and chic Classic One Piece. Whether you’re a pool princess or a Sporty Spice, you get the best of both worlds with this timeless style.Β

Swim Tip: The brighter the swimsuit color, the more you’ll stand out on land and sea! Muted colors tend to disappear more easily underwater.

Stay in Your Comfort Zone

Ultimately, your choice swimsuitΒ should be whatever you feel most comfortable in. We all have parts of our bodies that make us feel self-conscious, so play around with different styles based on your preferences.Β

Looking to hide your belly? Try the Ultra High Rise Bikini Bottom. Looking to show off the belly button piercing you got when you turned 18? Opt for the classic Bikini Swim Bottom.

Looking for something that offers subtle compression for a sculpting effect? The Sculpt High Rise Swim Bottom might be just what you’re after.Β

There’s no shortage of style and color options in this year’s Swim Collection, which happens to be our most expansive and size-inclusive to date β€” that means no body is left behind.

The game-changer that is Period-Proof Swim also means never again having to sit poolside when you’d rather be in the water.Β

Buying a swimsuit doesn’t have to be so scary. Apply that sunscreen, wear your sun hat, and go show off your new bathing suit!
