#KnixPride: Spirit

We had a blast celebrating Pride at Knix. We sang, we laughed, we danced, we ran (Toronto Pride 5 km!) and we spent all month honouring members of our LGBTQ+ community. As June comes to a close and we welcome the dog days of summer, we’ve committed to continue supporting and uplifting our queer family beyond Pride Month.

All month we marched down all the colors of the rainbow. We have one color left, which is Purple. Gilbert Baker, the activist responsible for creating the Pride flag, assigned each color a meaning. Purple represents Spirit. And giiiiiiiiiirl, Knix has spirit! Check us out!

You can recap our #KnixPride series here to find out how everyone celebrated Pride! Thank you to everyone in our community who shared their stories, words of wisdom, and queer experiences.

We also chatted with some of our most colorful Knixteens here

These teens are beautiful and brave and wise beyond their years, and we recommend checking out how they celebrate Pride all year round.

We hope everyone had the loudest and proudest Pride Month, thank you for joining us!

Happy Pride!  🌈
