What's Your Definition of Badass?
March is International Women's Month and we are here to celebrate all the passionate badasses out there.
What defines a passionate badass? An unstoppable woman? Someone who is not afraid to speak up? What about someone who gets knocked down and has no problem popping right back up again?
There is no single definition of a badass, not one all encompassing word that sums it up. They don’t look a certain way, act a specific way, and they definitely don’t fit a particular mold.
Here are a bunch of Knix women that fit the bill quite nicely. They are strong, they are confident and they are supportive of one another. Meet the women of our March campaign. We asked each of them – In your eyes, what makes a woman a badass? Here is what they had to say.
* Nessa is wearing the Catalyst Sports Bra in Violet Dusk
“Having the confidence to speak your mind and know your compass. You are truly you. That’s what is badass.” – Nessa
* Marlie is wearing the Padded V-Neck Bra in Water Garden
“Confidence makes a woman a badass. She lives her life the way she wants and doesn’t care what people think about her and is not afraid to take chances.” – Marlie
* Chantel is wearing the Padded V-Neck Bra in Rosewater
“Following your dreams and going after what you believe in. Hustle!” – Chantel
* Kim is wearing the Evolution Bra in Violet Dusk
“A woman is a badass when she is able to push past boundaries and break down ceilings.” – Kim
* Ariana is wearing the Evolution Bra in Water Garden
“Being a badass is being independent and achieving all of your goals. A huge part is also supporting people around you and having a good support system.” – Ariana
As these five incredible women posed and strutted and as they stared down the camera lens, each and every one of them radiated badassery. From the inside, out. We take our hats off to not only them, but every other woman out there navigating the world we live in today.
At Knix, we believe in celebrating every woman, on every part of their journey. On the strong days when they boldly face the day that lays ahead, the slower, less accomplished days that take a little more effort, and even on the days where getting out of bed feels like the ultimate effort.
Here’s to all the badass women out there—of any age, size, shape, colour and ability. As the saying goes, may we know them, may we be them, and may we raise them. Go forth, women – and be amazing in all you do.
