Whether you’re heading back to school or just getting back into the swing of a routine, brush up on your skincare basics with 4 skincare rules to live by, the foundation of a daily ritual, and a guide to how much product you should be using.
The 4 rules of glowing skin
#1 Sleep: One of the best things you can do for your skin. Aim for 8 hours a night
#2 Drink plenty of water: to stay hydrated and keep your body happy and healthy. I also love herbal teas like red raspberry, oat straw, nettle, fennel, peppermint.
#3 Mindful eating: Digestion is key to healthy, beautiful, clear skin. Listen to your body and feed it what it needs. Make sure you are having at least one bowel movement daily.
#4 Don't pick anything: This is so hard but trust me, it works. The less you pick, the less scarring you have.
Your daily skincare ritual
Cleanse nightly to remove all dirt and make-up. Massage cleanser into wet skin and remove with a damp face cloth.
Tone after cleansing and when your skin needs a pick-me-up.
Moisturize! Hydrate and protect your skin morning and night. Julie always massages a face Serum into her freshly washed, damp skin OR combine with water/toner in your palm before applying. Use AM or PM or both, whichever you feel work best for your skin.
